Entinen kansanedustaja ja nyrkkeilymestari Tony Halme löydettiin sunnuntaina kuolleena kotoaan. Mies oli huumeisiin ja laittomiin aseisiin uponnut sekakäyttäjä, joka oli saanut pysyvän aivovamman. Iso ukko, joka surkeana ja säälittävänä katkokäveli ja sammalsi viimeiset elinvuotensa, jotka päättyivät lehtitietojen mukaan oman käden kautta. Miten julkisuus tähän suhtautui? Ihaillen.
Iltapäivälehdet kiirehtivät julkaisemaan väräjävällä äänellä muisteloita miehestä, ja hyvä ettei kättä lippaan vedetty. ”Räväkkä”. Tähän asti sitä on luultu, että räväkkä on keski-ikäinen nainen, jolla on tukassaan useaa eri väriä. Mutta ei. Räväkkä tarkoittaakin exit-only -tatuoinnilla varustetun sikaniskan sekoilua kännissä pyssyn kanssa. Ja mitä ovat steroidit, viina ja huumeet? ”Rankkaa taistelua terveyden kanssa”.
Muistokirjoitukset pullistelivat oksettavaa sankaruutta, kummaa paatosta, jossa mies sai väistyä tarinan tieltä. Ja aivan kuin yhtäkkiä me olisimme kaikki olleet häntä äänestämässä, eivät vain itähelsinkiläiset luusereiksi leimatut, joiden ääntä ei kuultu eikä kuulla. Sillä näidenhän merkkinä Halme huojuskeli siellä Arkadianmäellä niin, että Disneyn kuvakerrontaan tottuneet visailunkuluttajat hetken tunsivat että hei, toihan on ihan kuin mä itse olisin siellä!
Mies oli vitsi, vaaraton möhkäleen muotoinen kotieläin ja hyvin sopi sinne muiden viihdetaiteilijoiden sekaan. Ei mutta sehän oli unohdetun kansan ääni! Paskat se mikään ääni ollut. Itse asiassa Halme teki kansanedustajana hallaa äänestäjilleen: kun tuommoinen niskamakkara siellä orpona istui, kaikki voivat osoittaa häntä ja sanoa että kattokaa, on täällä niillä toisillakin edustus, ei vain meillä keskipullealla väestöllä, vaikka se oli silkka valhe. Halme oli etninen maskotti; merkki, ei mies.
Tämän surkuhupaisan kansanedustajuuden tosikuvan tahtoo lujimmin unohtaa Timo Soini, jonka Halmeen kuolemaan liittyvien kommenttien epäinhimillisyys on ollut vertaansa vailla. Sekakäytöllä hankittua pysyvää aivovammaa Soini kutsuu ”nukahtamiseksi”. ”Olisin toivonut toisenlaista tarinaa tähän lopuksi” hän lausui ja totta tosiaan tuli sanoneeksi enemmän kuin tarkoitti.
Ei Halme meitä silloin kiinnostanut, kun hän kärvisteli raitistumisen veret seisauttavassa tylsyydessä. Ei häntä kaivettu esiin esimerkiksi siitä, miten elämän pahastikin köykkimä voi kammeta itsensä toisten ihmisten raittiiseen yhteyteen. Kun Halme näytettiin punnitsemassa mandariineja lähikaupassa, ei kuvalla ollut tarkoitus esittää sitä, miten mainio mies hänestä onkaan lutviutunut, vaan alleviivata katastrofia, joksi tämän mullin ja elukan elämä onkaan päässyt menemään. Arkeen kesyyntyminen ei ollut sinnikkään taistelun uuras, hieno lopputulos, vaan kuohittu mahtisonni.
Meni oikealla hetkellä. Ymmärsi mennä. Kuten Elvis oksennukseensa tai Marilyn lääkkeisiin. Tahdomme loppuun dramaattisen käänteen, emme kiusallista hiipumista, joka on kaikkien osa. Ja tämän testosteronilla, anabolisilla steroideilla, eläintaljoilla ja leijonariipuksilla itsensä mieheksi rakentaneen olennon kylmenevän kalmon ääressä salaa ihmettelemme, miksi tämä Matti Nykänenkin täällä vielä heiluu, sehän on jo nähty.

I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
